Sunday June 4th is your opportunity to check in for the 2017 OTOA Conference and beat the crowd. 

Early Bird Registration starts at 1800hrs and ends 2100hrs on Sunday June 4th at Kalahari.

 MONDAY JUNE 5, 2017

General Session & Presentations

Attendee Check In – 0600 to 0830.

Monday June 1st will start off with the OTOA "General Session". The General Session kicks off the annual training conference with the presentation of colors, escorted to the stage by the FOP Lake Erie Lodge #17 Pipe and Honor Guard. After the Pledge of Allegiance and a short welcome from the OTOA President, the full day of presentations will commence.

0830: Welcome to the 28th Annual Training Conference Announcement

0830- 0845: Presentation of the Colors, National Anthem & Pledge of Allegiance

0845 – 0855: Welcome to Sandusky and Kalahari from Erie County Sheriff Paul A. Sigsworth

0900 – 1130: Orlando Police Department - Pulse Night Club Critical Incident Debriefing.The presentation will explore the Orlando Police Department's response to the terror attack at the Pulse Nightclub near Downtown Orlando. It will provide a look into the patrol response as well as the SWAT deployment. The presenters will also discuss the decision making process.

11:30 – 12:30: Lunch Break (on your own)

12:30- 1400: Jeff Chudwin - Police Use of Force: Critical Decision-Making in Real-Time Use of Force

1415– 1645: Dallas Police Department  - Critical Incident Debriefing: Case review of the 7-7-16 murder of 5 Dallas Police Officers. 3 sided view of what happened and how Dallas Police responded and more specifically how Dallas SWAT responded.

1645 – 1700: Closing Remarks

1700: End of Day One

1800-2130: Host Agency Hospitality: Monday evening is the Host Agency Hospitality at Kalahari Resort at the Villas.  This hospitality is open to all conference attendees. Like every OTOA hospitality event, the Host Agency Hospitality will provide the conference attendee another invaluable opportunity to enjoy some food, beverage, camaraderie and networking.

 TUESDAY JUNE 6, 2017

Vendor Exhibition / Break - Out Training Classes / Live Fire Demo / Barbeque Hospitality Dinner 

2017 OTOA Vendor Show Exhibition June 6, 2017 / Sandusky, Ohio

Tuesday June 6th is the OTOA Vendor Exhibition Show and Breakout Training Sessions. Tuesday is much more than a vendor show; Vendor Show – Training – Vendor Live Fire Event – Door Prizes – Evening Hospitality Event at the Range – Hospitality at Kalahari. Tuesday June 6th offers a full day of training, gear and networking.

Doors to the 2017 OTOA Vendor Exhibition open at 0900. Once inside, you will be able to connect with over 200 different companies offering state of the art, lifesaving equipment.

There is no need to pre-register for any of the class offerings. Pick the classes you want to attend and walk into the training.

The Break-Out Training Sessions on Tuesday June 6th are 30 – 45 minutes in length and will run all day long during the vendor exhibition show. Tuesday's festivities continue with a vendor live fire and barbeque hospitality event at the Erie County Conservation Club starting at 1700hrs. This event will be your opportunity to actually shoot the hardware you were able to handle at the vendor show. The Erie County Conservation Club is about an 8 minute drive from Kalahari. Parking is very limited and we have arranged for three buses to drive a continual loop from Kalahari to the Conservation Club. The bus shuttle services start at 1630 and stop at 2100.

Enjoy a barbeque dinner, shoot some guns and win one of the more than 250 door prizes. YouMUST be present at the Live Fire Barbeque Hospitality to receive door prizes. The Vendor Live Fire and Barbeque Hospitality ends at 2000 hrs.

Training Classes & Awards Banquet

Wednesday June 7th is a day full of the classes you picked during the on-line conference registration.

The OTOA Awards Banquet starts at 1800hrs in the Kalahari Ballroom. Enjoy a meal with your comrades, network and hear the keynote address. See the OTOA Valor and Recognition Awards given to deserving individuals. This is also your chance to win an assortment of high-end firearms.
